Ah, what's all the racket coming from...?

It was an answer received as quickly as the question, itself, was asked within his mind. He'd barely just managed to settle his own responsibilities within the garden for the day, and was already on his way down the path away before he heard the familiar calls of his Dartrix as it remained to roost within the plots. Before long, he pushed the door amidst the fences in once more, stepping through with a curious look.

Needless to say, the sight of the mule was immediate— and even if it hadn't been, it was impossible to ignore the noise it was making.

With a softly pensive sigh, the man furrowed his brows while tossing the Pokeball of a familiar dragon type out, voicing a quick, "Fishious Rend, Amore!" before watching the named dual type give a gargling cry. Within moments, it bolted forth with a quick Fishious Rend as per directed— but as the mismatched creature returned to its trainer, the man, himself, couldn't help but narrow his eyes as he noted that the hit was...likely a bit harder than intended, based on the limp the ground type had after the fact.

The least he could do was nurse it back to himself, so after fishing for a free Pokeball, he tossed it out towards the mule.

An audacious question to match an audacious display, really— because honestly, how else was he supposed to react? Just let the damn bird wreak havoc in the garden he offered to check in on? Fuck no, man.

He came here to make sure everything was fine while his friend was out; not to encourage whatever thieving that multicolored bird wanted to do.

So, after giving the aforementioned creature a returned, squinting glare, the man reached over towards one of the several Pokeballs hanging upon his waist before tossing it out. "Cooome on. Give 'em a quick Water Pulse, Bacu," he called to the slug of a dragon type as she popped out.

He watched the water form and blast the Archen not too long afterwards, only listening to the squawks of disdain it had to offer for a small while longer before tossing another, vacant capsule out to capture it.
